China Fines Trip.com Group ¥5.18 Billion in Record Antitrust Penalty Over Hotel Exclusivity Deals

China's market regulator has confiscated ¥1.66 billion in illegal gains and fined Trip.com Group ¥3.52 billion — roughly $765 million in total — for abusing its dominant position in hotel bookings. The company says it accepts the decision.
