Agoda Introduces Default Same-Day Booking Cutoff Times for Single-Unit Homes
Sarah
Hosts of single-unit homes on Agoda should check their same-day booking settings: the platform is rolling out country-based default cutoff times, and the defaults can shut off late same-day demand in some markets.
Agoda says short-notice, same-day bookings can leave properties without time to prepare, which leads to Allotment Reject (AR). To address this, it is introducing default same-day booking cutoff times by country. The change applies to single-unit home-like properties: sNHA and single-unit mNHA.
Who is affected
The default applies only to partners who have not previously set their own same-day cutoff. Until a cutoff is set, same-day bookings are accepted until 23:59.
Default cutoffs without a Channel Manager
- India: no same-day bookings
- Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand: blocked from 22:00
- Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, UAE, Japan, Bahrain, UK, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Laos and all other markets: blocked from 19:00
Default cutoffs with a Channel Manager
- India: no same-day bookings
- UK, Vietnam, UAE, France, Hungary, Italy, Australia, South Korea and other markets: blocked from 19:00
- Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan: no block
How to change the cutoff
The cutoff is a property-level setting, shown when at least one rate plan allows same-day bookings. It does not change rate plans that already require advance notice. Partners can change it at any time:
- Open Booking Settings. For sNHA, go to Rates and Availabilities, then Booking Settings. For mNHA, the page is not in the menu; use the Booking Settings URL with your Property ID, available on the Agoda Partner Portal.
- Review the current cutoff and select a different time if needed.
- Save.
Agoda points partners to the "Need Help" button in the Partner Portal, or the contact methods on the Partner Hub, for support.
