Expedia Group says hotels can now join its marketplace in under 24 hours without a separate onboarding workflow or duplicate data entry.

Expedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) has launched Autonomous Onboarding, which lets properties connect through the connectivity software they already use. Properties select Expedia Group as a distribution channel within their existing connectivity provider, then review and accept the agreement. Expedia's technology pulls setup data from the property's software, including room types, rates and rate plans, photos, amenities, payment setups and availability. Expedia validates it, and the property can go live.

Reach

The company cites access to Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo; a B2B network of more than 75,000 partners and 200,000 travel advisors; emerging AI-powered travel partnerships; more than one billion average monthly searches; and more than 415 million booked room nights in 2025.

Pilot partners

HotelRunner, Yanolja Cloud Solutions, RoomCloud, RateGain and Eviivo.

Outlook

Chris Hodges, VP of Global Connectivity & Partner Solutions, said: "Adding a new source of demand should not add a new layer of work." Autonomous Onboarding is the first phase of Expedia Group's broader "Autonomous Distribution" vision, which aims to simplify and eventually optimise the full distribution lifecycle for partners.

Operators should check whether their channel manager or PMS is among the pilot partners and review rate and content mapping before accepting, since data is pulled automatically from existing systems.
