A regulatory filing offers a rare look at where Expedia Group is trimming its corporate workforce, including engineering, data and finance roles.

Expedia Group will eliminate 58 corporate positions at its Seattle headquarters between November 21 and December 1, 2026, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter filed with Washington state officials.

The roles include data scientists, finance managers, senior accountants, senior financial analysts, software development engineers and several vice presidents. The notice states that some layoffs "are the result of, or will result in, the relocation or contracting out of the employer's operations or the employees' positions."

Expedia Group declined to comment beyond the required disclosure. Hotel Dive places the cuts within broader restructuring across travel, citing Mews's 15% staff reduction in July and Marriott International's 800-plus corporate layoffs in 2024.
