Agoda Partners with Taiwan Tourism Administration on Six-Month Destination Campaign

Agoda keeps stacking up tourism-board deals across Asia — after Taipei City and Macao, the OTA has now signed a destination marketing campaign with Taiwan's national tourism body, underlining how important these government partnerships have become to its regional playbook.
Agoda and the Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) have launched a campaign to promote Taiwan to travellers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea. It runs from July to December 2026.
Targeting travellers mid-funnel
Rather than broad brand advertising, the campaign uses Agoda's own platform to reach prospective travellers during the trip planning and booking process, with the goal of increasing awareness and consideration of Taiwan as a destination. Content will highlight Taiwan's regions, festivals and hospitality offerings.
The partners also say the initiative will encourage more responsible tourism practices by helping travellers make informed decisions when planning their trips.
"This partnership with Agoda supports our mission to showcase Taiwan's diverse regions, local festivals, and quality hospitality offerings to international travellers," said Paul Shih, Singapore office director at the Taiwan Tourism Administration. "Through this campaign, we hope more travellers will discover Taiwan and be inspired to visit and experience the beauty of Taiwan."
Part of a broader pattern
The deal fits a consistent Agoda strategy of monetising its platform reach through destination marketing organisations. In recent months the company has struck a strategic partnership with the Taipei City Government and expanded its 2026 agreement with the Macao Government Tourism Office to promote boutique stays. For tourism boards, Agoda offers targeted access to intra-Asian travellers at the point of booking; for Agoda, the campaigns bring co-funded marketing and closer government relationships in key source and destination markets.
The four target markets — Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea — are among Taiwan's largest inbound source markets, making this a fairly direct play for high-intent regional traffic in the second half of 2026.
